River Edge Behavioral Health in Macon, GA, seeks a DSP Shift Lead for Specialized Transitional Homes. The role leads Direct Support Professionals and RBTs on each shift, ensures ABC data is complete, and finalizes shift checklists under supervision of a BCBA. The program supports three to four individuals with personalized care plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; TOFHLA score 75+ considered equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must complete basic training such as CPR and First Aid.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of patient behavior observation and documentation procedures.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living skills in one‑on‑one or group settings.
• Observe, document, and monitor client behavior; ensure staff complete required documentation.
• Counsel individuals on behavioral issues and simple decision making.
• Provide personal care to individuals on the unit as needed.
• Conduct rounds every 30 minutes to ensure schedules are followed and care is provided.
• Prepare meals and snacks, including special diets.
• Provide transportation to off‑unit appointments or activities as needed.
• Remind staff to check emails at each shift.
