Job summary

Frontier Behavioral Health in Spokane is seeking a Peer Support Specialist Trainee to provide recovery-oriented services within the Community Diversion Unit and to assist in crisis stabilization and community linkage. This role requires a year of recovery experience and either a current WA credential or eligibility to apply for the trainee credential within 90 days of start.

Applicants must have a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and be willing to travel to community

Qualifications

• Self-identify as having one or more years in recovery from a mental health condition, substance use disorder or both.
• Must have an active WA Peer Support credential or be eligible as a trainee within 90 days.
• Own reliable transportation and driver's license.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support and recovery-focused services in community and office settings.
• Assist in crisis stabilization and connect clients with resources.
• Advocate for clients and help develop natural supports.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and client records.
• Travel between sites and to client locations as needed.
