Job summary

Chimes in Exton, PA, is seeking a Crisis Counselor/Specialist to deliver 988 crisis services, including mobile dispatch, safety planning, and level-of-care assessments. You will triage, intervene in crises, and document services while collaborating with community partners.

We offer Full-Time & Part-Time weekend shifts with double time on agency holidays and a comprehensive rewards package including benefits and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in social sciences with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience in a behavioral health setting focusing on crisis assessment and interventions.
• Licensure/certification preferred.
• Clearances include PA Child Abuse, Criminal, and fingerprint-based federal history.

Responsibilities

• Conduct crisis assessments, triage, and stabilization.
• Provide clinical level-of-care evaluations.
• Conduct telephone crisis counseling to determine interventions.
• Participate in mobile outreach in diverse community settings.
• Conduct aftercare follow-up contacts.
• Collaborate with community partners to coordinate referrals.
• Provide linkage to services and timely clinical documentation.
• Maintain quality documentation of all services provided.

It is the responsibility of the Crisis Counselor/Specialist to conduct 988 phone and walk-in crisis services, including mobile dispatch, level of care assessments, safety planning, and other crisis interventions as needed.

Job Functions

• Conduct effective crisis assessments, triage, and stabilization.
• Provide clinical level-of-care evaluations.
• Conduct telephone crisis counseling to determine appropriate interventions.
• Participate in mobile outreach in a variety of community settings.
• Conduct appropriate aftercare follow-up contacts.
• Collaborate with community partners.
• Provide service referrals and linkage as clinically appropriate.
• Maintain quality documentation of clinical service delivery.
• Provide timely supporting documentation for all clinical services provided.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in social sciences with relevant professional experience of at least 1 year OR Master's degree in social sciences with relevant professional experience of at least 1 year

Experience: Experience in a behavioral health setting, including experience with crisis assessment, triage, intervention, and community resources/systems.

Licensure/Certification: Licensure and/or certification preferred.

Clearances: Pennsylvania Child Abuse, Criminal and fingerprint-based federal criminal history; Verification that employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list

Note: At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted instead of the requirements specified under Education and Experience
