Job summary

Behavioral Health Network (BHN) in Worcester, MA seeks a Counselor-CIT to join the Adult Community Crisis Stabilization (A-CCS) team. You will implement treatment plans, assess needs, and coordinate with area providers to support adults in crisis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
• One year of experience in human services, preferably behavioral health.
• Knowledge of and motivation to work with behavioral health populations.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to relate to individuals, families, and collateral providers.
• Team player with follow-through on tasks.
• Good interviewing, observation, and documentation skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment and referrals using the least restrictive options per clinical assessment.
• Identify needs of individuals served, including mental status and risk level.
• Collaborate with providers to understand current situations of clients.
• Complete intake, collateral, DAP notes, aftercare plans, and discharge summaries.
• Lead activity and psycho-educational groups each shift.
• Meet program goals and support daily client needs and comfort.
• Ensure staffing meets safety standards with hourly checks.
• Consult with supervisors on challenges, safety, and discharge planning.
