Job summary

Crisis Services in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Crisis Counseling Specialist II to provide 24/7 crisis counseling by phone and chat, including lethality assessment, supportive counseling, and information/referral through the Crisis Counseling Program.

Requires a Master’s degree in a human services field and licensure (LMSW/LCSW or LMHC); Level I preferred. The role offers union membership, generous benefits, paid training, and a schedule including days, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver crisis phone and chat counseling, including lethality assessment.
• Provide supportive counseling and information/referral.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Coordinate with 24-hour hotline services.
