Job summary

Journey Mental Health Center, Inc. is seeking a Compliance Coordinator to support the Emergency Services team. The role involves monitoring compliance with commitments, collaborating with clients and providers, and delivering culturally sensitive support during crises.

The position emphasizes empowerment, fair access to services, and linking clients to community resources, with an expected 8:00am–4:30pm schedule and potential after-hours work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related behavioral health field and/or clinical experience in mental health.
• 1 year of clinical experience required; or 4 years with chronically mentally ill persons.
• Valid driver’s license, favorable driving record and vehicle access.
• Bi-lingual and/or bi-cultural (Spanish/Hmong/Cambodian); ASL fluency is a plus.
• Experience with evidence-based practices in mental health and substance use.

Responsibilities

• Completing compliance monitoring for community members under Chapter 51 Commitments or Settlement Agreements.
• Reviewing commitments/settlements with clients and providers.
• Collaborate with providers/ and clients during commitment extensions/ and recommendations.
• Provide culturally sensitive community support services to assist during crises.
• Document contacts in a timely manner and maintain required paperwork.
