Job summary

Rosecrance Ware Center in Rockford, IL seeks a Team Leader for Mental Health Crisis Co-Response. This role leads a crisis-focused, community-based team working with law enforcement to provide immediate behavioral health support during crises.

Qualifications include a Master’s degree in counseling or social work and QMHP eligibility. Strong leadership, collaboration, and documentation skills are required with on-site work at the Rosecrance Ware Center.

Qualifications

• Master degree in counseling, social work or another related field is required.
• Must qualify as a QMHP.
• Ability to supervise and communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
• Ability to establish rapport quickly.
• Experience in individual/family counseling, case management and motivational interviewing.
• Must have own transportation and valid driver's license.
• Team-oriented with ability to work with law enforcement partners.

Responsibilities

• Present workshops, lectures and training to clients, families, staff and community groups as needed.
• Engage with law enforcement in daily staffing and follow up calls.
• Assist leadership with grant reporting when needed.
• Use data to monitor effective team behavior in compliance with standards.
• Work alongside law enforcement officers.
• Respond to live or active 911 calls involving mental health crises.
• Provide leadership and feedback through team meetings and supervision.
• Complete monthly and quarterly reports on time.
• Participate in on-call system and clinical documentation as required.
