Job summary

Maniilaq Association in Kotzebue, Alaska is seeking Relief Advocate I/II/III to support the Family Crisis Center. This grant-funded role is non-exempt and requires flexible hours to meet crisis needs.

You will answer the Crisis Line, complete client intakes, refer clients, assist with operations, and participate in on-call rotations including S.A.R.T. Prior experience and First Aid/CPR are required or obtained soon after hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One-year relevant work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must hold First Aid/CPR or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and flexible hours for crisis response.
• Criminal history printout required.

Responsibilities

• Answers the Crisis Line.
• Completes client intakes for clients and their children.
• Acts as a referral source for men, women, and children who call or come to the Crisis Center.
• Assists in Crisis Center operations, facility upkeep, and subsistence activities.
• Arrange travel as necessary for victims.
• Participates in training and improvement of activities to expand services to survivors.
• Assist in sorting donations when received (includes washing, sorting, etc.).
• Does on-call duty in rotation, including S.A.R.T.
