Job summary

The Arizona Department of Public Safety is seeking qualified individuals for the Criminal Records Specialist role. You will handle data entry, file searches, and maintenance/retrieval of criminal justice reports, ensuring accuracy and authorized disclosure.

This 18-month eligibility list will fill current and future vacancies. Classic clerical duties apply, with required ACJIS certification within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• One year of clerical experience including word processing or data entry.
• Must obtain ACJIS Terminal Operator Certification within six months of hire and maintain it thereafter.
• May be required to travel for certain work functions.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled data entry, file searches, and maintenance and retrieval of criminal justice reports and related materials.
• Conduct complex record keeping and statistics compilation; perform general clerical tasks.
• Ensure information released to authorized personnel only and follow pre-employment and compliance requirements.
