Job summary

College of The Albemarle invites applications for a Full-Time Program Coordinator at the Elizabeth City campus. The role includes leadership and administrative oversight of the Criminal Justice Technology program, curriculum development, student advising, and participation in college-wide initiatives.

The position is a 10-month or 12-month faculty appointment with a $150 monthly administrative stipend, onsite work, and potential travel between campuses.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field required or equivalent experience.
• Experience coordinating or administering an academic/workforce program preferred.
• Ability to meet scheduling and travel requirements; multiple locations may be involved.

Responsibilities

• Teach Criminal Justice courses in various formats (day/evening/hybrid/online).
• Develop and deliver current curriculum; assess student learning and maintain records.
• Advise students on course selection, program completion, and transfer pathways.
• Lead program administration including scheduling, assessment, and accreditation activities.
• Coordinate curriculum, scheduling, program review, and student-learning outcomes.
• Engage with advisory committees, employers, and community partners.
