Job summary

Daemen University invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Practice in the Criminal Justice Program. The appointment will help lead and develop this growing program and provide undergraduate instruction across Criminology, Policing, Corrections, and Theory.

The successful candidate will teach 24 credit hours per year, advise students, and contribute to co-curricular programming while reporting to the program chairs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Criminal Justice or related field.
• College-level teaching experience, including Criminology, Policing and Corrections, Criminal Justice Theory, and Capstone.
• Relevant internships and partnerships with students for experiential learning.
• Ability to plan programming to engage students on campus/community.

Responsibilities

• Teach 24 credit hours per academic year across the two-semester year.
• Develop co-curricular programming and provide student advisement and mentoring.
• Contribute to program development and collaborate with department Chairs.
