The Criminal Justice Program at Daemen University is searching for a full-time, non-tenure tack, Assistant Professor of Practice. This individual will help to lead, strengthen, and further develop this new, fast-growing program. Criminal Justice is an interdisciplinary program that ensures graduates will be well prepared for careers in criminal justice professions, while receiving a strong liberal arts education that provides them with a deeper understanding of political, psychological, and social environments. The ideal candidate will have a mix of applied experience in the criminal justice field and a demonstrated ability to teach at the undergraduate level.
This non-tenure track position carries teaching responsibilities equivalent to 24 credit hours across the two-semester academic year. The successful candidate will also be expected to develop co-curricular programming and to provide student advisement and mentoring. The position reports to the Chairs of History & Political Science and Psychological Sciences, as co-directors of the program.
