Daemen University seeks an Assistant Professor of Practice in Criminal Justice on a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track basis starting January 25, 2027. The role includes teaching, advising, and mentoring within a new, fast-growing program.

The ideal candidate combines applied criminal justice experience with undergraduate teaching ability and will help develop co-curricular programming and internships for students.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Criminal Justice or closely related field.
• Experience teaching at the college level, including Criminology and Capstone courses.
• Willingness to develop internships and on-campus/community programming.

Responsibilities

• Teach 24 credit hours across two semesters per year.
• Develop co-curricular programming and student advisement.
• Mentor student research and engagement with community partners.
