Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Law, Public Administration or a related field.
  • Relevant professional or research experience in criminal justice, law, public safety, victim services, government, nonprofit or community organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability or potential to be an effective and engaging college-level teacher who connects academic concepts with professional practice.
  • Preparation to teach courses in research methods and/or statistics in criminology and criminal justice, plus related areas.

Responsibilities

  • Teach required undergraduate and graduate courses in Research Methods and Statistics in Criminology and Criminal Justice and related areas.
  • Serve as a mentor to students exploring career pathways, internships, applied experiences, and graduate study.
  • Develop partnerships with criminal justice and related organizations.
  • Represent the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Admissions events.

Education

Doctoral degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Law, Public Administration or related field
