The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is seeking a Criminal Investigator to conduct sensitive investigations related to misconduct and criminal activity by CBP employees. The Criminal Investigator is responsible for coordinating and completing complex and sensitive criminal, civil, and administrative investigations involving alleged misconduct, criminal activity, and/or corruption by CBP employees and related entities. The role involves leading or supporting investigative activities proactively or reactively under the jurisdiction of CBP OPR. The position starts at a salary range of $88,621 (GS-12, Step 1) to $137,000 (GS-13, Step 10), with potential for promotion to GS-13 Step 10. Salaries are adjusted based on locality pay or cost of living adjustments.
