Job summary

The State of Florida, Department of Financial Services, Criminal Investigations Division, is seeking a Crime Intelligence Analyst I (Non-Sworn) in West Palm Beach to support investigators through data analysis, written reports, and intelligence coordination.

Required two years of related work, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and ability to manage large data sets; bilingual skills and FCIC/NCIC certification are a plus. This in-office role offers comprehensive state benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of research and intelligence analysis techniques
• Knowledge of the procedures and techniques for effective verbal and written communication
• Ability to use personal computer
• Ability to analyze, interpret and summarize criminal intelligence data
• Ability to review large amounts of criminal intelligence data and determine significance, completeness, and usefulness
• Ability to write reports, investigative summaries and memoranda resulting from information analysis

• Ability to report information clearly, concisely, and accurately, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments

Responsibilities

• Performs criminal history and intelligence checks with reference to investigations for all sworn personnel as directed.
• Directly supports and assists investigators in the compilation and analysis of confidential information regarding insurance fraud and arson.
• Compiles, analyzes, and disseminates information and criminal intelligence from various agencies and sources, coordinating information exchange among law enforcement.
