South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is seeking a Criminal Analyst in the Fusion Center to support investigations through all-source research, data analysis, and reporting. The role emphasizes collaboration with federal, state, and local partners to develop actionable leads and sustain investigative efforts.

The ideal candidate will perform open source and CJIS data analysis, prepare briefs, and provide testimony when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; Master’s may substitute for experience.
• Experience in collecting, analyzing, and presenting information.
• Strong analytical skills to search databases and develop reports.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for sharing information with partners.
• Ability to identify trends/patterns from analyzed data.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Publisher).
• Ability to operate during crisis situations and occasional extended travel.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment supporting investigations.
• Coordinate major case investigations by data collection and collaboration with units and agencies.
• Respond to requests using open source, criminal intelligence, and CJIS data; support operations.
• Disseminate information to investigators and partners; prepare briefings and testimonies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
