Job summary

Allen County War Memorial Coliseum is seeking a Paralegal for the Criminal Division to assist in the daily processing of criminal cases received from federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies. Under the Chief Investigator, you will help with discovery, subpoenas, court calendars, and file preparation for trial.

This at-will position requires strong written and verbal communication, confidentiality, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in a related field not required but preferred.
• One year of experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, court operations, or similar.
• Knowledge of legal procedures and confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process criminal cases for trial preparation, including documents and data entry.
• Prepare and manage daily court calendars and jury panels; issue discovery.
• Prepare subpoenas and manage related filings; organize files for court proceedings.
• Coordinate with defense attorneys, deputy prosecutors, and other agencies; schedule meetings.
• Assist victims with restitution information, court dates, and related orders.
