The City of Baltimore is hiring a Crime Laboratory Technician I to perform specialized laboratory work, including evidence detection, criminalistics, firearms, latent print examination, and crime scene photography. Workers operate under close supervision on a rotating shift and may encounter hazardous conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in criminalistics, chemistry, biology, physics or related science from an accredited college or university.
• Equivalencies - an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilités

• Perform specialized crime laboratory work such as evidence detection, criminalistics, firearms, latent print examination or crime scene photography.
• Incumbents receive close supervision and work on a shift basis.
• May be exposed to toxic fumes and chemicals; lift and move heavy materials at crime sites.
