Job summary

Yuma County Sheriff's Office in Yuma County is seeking a Crime Analyst to research, collect, and analyze criminal data to identify crime patterns and trends. You will prepare detailed reports and support law enforcement investigations.

Under supervision, you will use GIS, LinX, and Ring Portal, maintain data quality, and may testify in court. AAssociate’s degree and 1 year in crime analysis are required; ACJIS/NCIC cert within 6 months; background checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in criminal justice or related field and 1 year of crime/intelligence analysis experience.
• ACJIS and NCIC Terminal Operator Certification within six months of appointment.
• Background check, polygraph, and drug test may be required; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Research, collects, analyzes, and evaluates criminal data to identify patterns and trends.
• Prepare detailed reports with maps, graphs, tables, and charts using GIS and statistical software.
• Maintain crime analysis data in LinX and Ring Portal; support investigations.
• Testify in court as required and coordinate with officers.
