Job summary

The City of Edinburg is seeking a dedicated Crime Analyst to join the Police Department in Edinburg, TX. You will compile and analyze information to support crime analysis activities and be involved with Crisis Response Team tasks.

You will develop and implement a data system to track mobile crisis response KPIs and assist in administering police databases and advising staff on areas of high crime probability. Bilingual English/Spanish is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Master's degree in related field preferred.
• One year of crime analysis and law enforcement experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Valid Texas Class C driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Pre-employment drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze information to support crime analysis activities.
• Develop and implement a data system to track KPIs and outcome metrics.
• Maintain police tracking, records management and intelligence databases.
• Advise Crisis Response Team members and sworn staff on areas of high crime probability.
