Job summary

The French's Food Company is hiring a full-time Crew Lead for the Springfield, MO plant. The role reports to the Warehouse Team Manager and focuses on leading a distribution crew, driving safety, quality, and on-time metrics.

You will coach, train, and develop staff, implement standard work, and coordinate training programs aligned with the Journey to Excellence. Overtime/weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of manufacturing/industrial experience.
• Experience in curriculum and training material development.
• Ability to understand financial impact of staffing and inventory decisions.
• Proficient with Excel, Word; basic data tools.
• Proactive in continuous improvement and problem solving.
• Ability to coach, train, and influence across the team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical thinking and risk assessment.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure team performance for quality, safety, and reliability.
• Drive continuous improvement and daily problem solving.
• Coach, train, and enforce operating procedures and safety rules.
• Ensure activities follow documented procedures and update when needed.
• Schedule crew vacation requests and overtime.
• Determine training needs for new and existing employees.
• Perform tasks of team members when needed.
• Foster teamwork and conduct meetings for distribution tracking.
• Serve as Training & Development System Owner.
• Partner with leadership to drive distribution excellence.
• Develop and implement training standards and measures.
• Support onboarding and early development programs.
