Job summary

SOAR365 is seeking a reliable leader to direct a crew in the Greater Richmond area. You will oversee daily operations, ensuring safety and quality while managing equipment, paperwork, and supplies.

This role emphasizes teamwork and strong people skills to maintain professional relationships across the SOAR365 team. Ideal candidates have substantial grounds maintenance and supervisory experience, a valid Virginia driver's license with REAL ID, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Virginia Driver's License; REAL ID required.
• At least 5 years of grounds maintenance experience (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of supervisor experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations and delegate work to crew members.
• Ensure all crew members work safely and in accordance with company policies.
• Ensure equipment is in good working order and maintained; perform preventative maintenance.
• Observe and coach individuals with disabilities; notify Project Manager of issues.
• Participate in job-related technical and safety training.

A Day in the Life of:

As a member of our team, you will report to the Project Manager. You will ensure tasks are completed efficiently, safely and to quality standards. The crew leader is responsible for directing the team to ensure high quality lawn/ grounds maintenance tasks, as well as maintaining associated equipment, paperwork, tools, and materials as necessary. Your people skills will come in handy as the leader of the crew and will help you to maintain a fantastic professional relationship with your fellow SOAR365 team members.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Overseeing day-to-day site operations and delegating work to crew members
• Ensuring all crew members perform their work safely and in accordance with company policies
• Ensuring equipment is in good working order and receives appropriate preventative maintenance
• Observes and monitors individuals with disabilities and coaches/counsels as necessary; notifies Project Manager of any/all issues
• Participate in and/or conduct all job-related technical and safety training

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Valid Virginia Driver's License. This position requires a REAL ID.
• Completion of high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• At least five (5) years of ground maintenance experience
• Minimum two (2) years supervisor experience
• Capability to work in inclement weather and extreme temperatures
• Knowledge of and ability to work with gas-powered tools and mowers
• Power to inspire and motivate others and create a positive work atmosphere
• Good oral and written communication skills for positive and clear interactions.
• Proficiency to work as part of a team.
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds
• Capability to do repetitious bending at the waist and kneeling.
