We abide by the highest ethical standards, knowing our service is critical to utilities and their customers, and we work as a team to deliver creative solutions to our clients. Finally, we are proud of our family-founded history and have worked to retain those family values in our culture since becoming employee-owned in 2002.

Essential Functions:
  1. Supervise a line clearance crew and plan daily work for the crew.
  2. Assign work to crew members and direct work according to accepted line clearance practices, adjusting to field requirements and taking independent action when needed.
  3. Recognize poisonous plants and use proper safeguards against them.
  4. Enforce safe work practices, conduct safety training, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies.
  5. Obtain permissions from property owners for tree trimming, removal, and herbicide application; arrange access and communicate work details to clients.
  6. Maintain good customer and public relations through effective work completion and employee conduct.
  7. Keep accurate records, timesheets, and reports on crew performance and work completion.
  8. Interpret work orders involving drawings and symbols related to power lines and equipment.
  9. Train personnel in safety and work procedures, in coordination with client policies.
  10. Manage crew costs by optimizing manpower, work methods, and equipment operation.
  11. Assess weather conditions to determine work start/stop times.
  12. Ensure safety by safeguarding work areas, cooperating with authorities, and performing tree and bucket rescues.
  13. Inspect trucks, tools, and equipment; request repairs; maintain cleanliness.
  14. Respond to emergency situations, including hazard elimination and emergency tree work.
  15. Perform tree trimming and removal, using climbing gear, tools, and equipment to fell and process trees.
  16. Apply herbicides, load/unload debris, and perform minor repairs to property damages.
  17. Service tools and equipment, direct traffic, operate trucks, and maintain order at worksites.
  18. Train new employees and work safely around hazards and energized lines.
  19. Work in various weather conditions and rough terrains, and perform other duties as assigned.
  20. Possess climbing experience, leadership skills, and knowledge of arboriculture and electrical systems.
  21. Adhere to safety standards such as ANSI Z133.1-2000 and maintain valid licenses, certifications, and medical cards.
  22. Handle long hours, overtime, and emergency call-outs, maintaining professionalism and safety at all times.
