Job summary

TEKsystems is hiring for an on-site contract-to-hire technician position in Rock Hill, SC. You will install and maintain voice/data cabling networks, splice fiber, and perform quality checks while following safety guidelines.

This role requires coordinating with project managers, completing paperwork, and serving as the primary on-site contact for customers. The ideal candidate has hands-on cabling and fiber experience, with strong tool knowledge and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Run major project crews and ensure safety and quality guidelines.
• Coordinate with Project Manager for productivity and budget.
• Complete timesheets, work orders, and related paperwork on time.
• Perform on-site customer contact and address questions or concerns.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Attend meetings and ensure project progress.

Job description

Description

• Consistently run major project crews; assume responsibility for effective performance and provide necessary training; assume responsibility for adherence to Company and customer safety and quality guidelines and hold weekly safety meetings; initiate performance-related communications and escape to Project Manager if necessary.
• Coordinates with Project Manager/Project Lead to ensure productivity, job completion and compliance with project budget.
• Fully completes all internal and project paperwork accurately and on time (specifically timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers and others as required).
• Perform quality checks; coordinate moves and cut sheets for voice and data cross connects; prepare red-lined as-built drawings.
• Serves as main on-site customer contact for questions and/or concerns; attend facility and constructions meetings when required.
• Performs work consistently demonstrating a detailed level of technical knowledge; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rock Hill, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
