Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an on-site technician for a contract-to-hire role in Rock Hill, SC. The candidate will lead project crews, ensure safety and quality guidelines are followed, and coordinate with the Project Manager to meet productivity and budget targets.

Responsibilities include completing paperwork, performing QC checks, and acting as the primary on-site customer contact. The role requires hands-on installation, testing, and telecom cable work.

Qualifications

• Experience with field installs and on-site coordination.
• Ability to perform quality checks and coordinate cabling work.
• Proficiency with standard electrician and telecommunications tools.

• Troubleshoot and resolve on-site technical issues; document resolutions.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Description

• Consistently run major project crews; assume responsibility for effective performance and provide necessary training; assume responsibility for adherence to Company and customer safety and quality guidelines and hold weekly safety meetings; initiate performance-related communications and elevate to Project Manager if necessary.
• 2. Coordinates with Project Manager/Project Lead to ensure productivity, job completion and compliance with project budget.
• 3. Fully completes all internal and project paperwork accurately and on time (specifically timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers and others as required).
• 4. Perform quality checks; coordinate moves and cut sheets for voice and data cross connects; prepare red-lined as-built drawings.
• 5. Serves as main on-site customer contact for questions and/or concerns; attend facility and constructions meetings when required.
• 6. Performs work consistently demonstrating a detailed level of technical knowledge; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
• 7. Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Punch tool with 110 block and 66 block blade, 6/8 position combo crimp tool, Krone/3M/BIX, butt set, volt-ohmmeter, 4-pair continuity tester and 5-gang punch tool.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rock Hill, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
