Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC seeks an experienced Foreperson to lead a crew in Virginia, ensuring safe, productive work around trees and lines. You will train team members, operate and maintain equipment, and report to a General Foreperson.

This full-time role requires climbing, equipment handling, and strong communication. You may assist during storm responses and must meet pre-employment screening requirements while promoting customer safety and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be able to walk, climb, and work safely at heights.
• Experience coordinating crews and daily work assignments.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain CDL within 90 days of hire.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Trims and removes trees using climbing gear or ground work.
• Operates and maintains equipment including saws, chippers, and sprayers.
• Plans and assigns daily crew work after receiving orders from a General Foreperson/Line Supervisor.
• Ensures safety practices and OSHA compliance on job sites.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and reports related to crew operations.
• Coordinates with property owners for access and approvals.
• Performs tree and bucket rescues as needed.
• Travel for storm emergencies and ongoing maintenance work.
