Job summary

Gulfshoresal seeks an experienced Meter Maintenance Supervisor to lead a small crew responsible for maintenance, repair, testing, and installation of water meters. The role involves work on water and sewer mains, on-call duties, and ensuring accuracy of readings through detailed task tickets and reports.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in meter maintenance with supervisory responsibility, and hold or obtain required Texas licenses (CDL Class A, Wastewater Grade II, Water Distribution

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Texas Commercial Driver’s License, Class A, required or must be obtained within 6 months.
• Must have and maintain a Class II Wastewater and Class C Water Distribution License or must be obtained within one year of hire.
• One year of experience as Meter Maintenance Technician with supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of meters operation, testing requirements, and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a small crew in meter maintenance, repair, testing, and installation.
• Disassemble, clean, repair, replace, and test defective meters.
• Read fire hydrant meters and complete work orders for each task.
• Write reports by hand and communicate with staff and the public.
• Maintain safety, proper use of equipment, and vehicle/yard cleanliness.
• Handle lifting of heavy equipment and work in varied environments.
