Job summary

The West Virginia Department of Transportation seeks a Transportation Worker 4 Crew Chief to lead crews in Heavy Maintenance and Bridge work from the Ohio County Maintenance Headquarters. You will coordinate schedules, equipment, and materials for daily projects under limited supervision, and complete time and attendance reports.

Applicants must have a CDL within six months, may travel, and will work in potentially hazardous conditions.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of roadway construction or roadway maintenance experience.
• CDL required within six months of employment.
• Ability to lead crews and coordinate schedules, materials, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Leads a crew in Heavy Maintenance, Bridge Departments, and Core Drilling Crews.
• Assists in scheduling maintenance and repair projects.
• Coordinates equipment and materials for upcoming jobs.
• Assigns duties and oversees project completion and reporting.
• Travel may be required; a valid driver’s license is required.
