Job summary

Qualifications

• Five years of full-time or equivalent experience in roadway construction or maintenance.
• Experience in bridge or structural steel construction comparable to DOT work.
• CDL required within six months of employment.
• Knowledge of safety procedures for highway maintenance and welding operations.
• Ability to train lower-level mechanics and read plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew of transportation workers in Heavy Maintenance, Bridge, and Core Drilling Crews.
• Schedule maintenance and repair projects and coordinate equipment and materials.
• Complete time, materials, and inspection reports for work performed.
• Assign duties to crew members and ensure project completion.
