Job summary

Golden Star Technology Inc. in Cerritos, CA, seeks an AV Programmer to design, develop, test, and deploy Crestron/AMX control systems for enterprise, education, and government projects. You will craft intuitive touch panels, modules, and DSP configurations, then verify performance on site.

You'll collaborate with engineering and project teams, document coding standards, and travel to job sites as needed to ensure seamless AV experiences across networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of Crestron or AMX programming in commercial AV environments.
• Hands-on experience with AV control systems, video conferencing, switching hardware, AV-over-IP and DSP setup/calibration.
• Strong understanding of audio DSP setup, tuning, and calibration.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex AV, control, and network issues.

Responsibilities

• Program, test, and deploy control systems on Crestron, AMX, and Extron platforms.
• Design intuitive and consistent touch panel user interfaces.
• Develop custom modules, device drivers, and automation logic.
• Configure and tune DSP platforms (Biamp, QSC, BSS, etc.).
• Review AV drawings, schematics, and signal flow diagrams.
• Perform in-house testing and on-site commissioning, verification, and acceptance testing.
• Troubleshoot integrated AV, control, and network systems.
• Support project teams, manufacturers, and clients as needed.
• Maintain programming documentation, standards, and version control.

Education/ Experience & Technical Skills

• 3+ years of Crestron or AMX programming in commercial AV environments
• Hands‑on experience with AV control systems, video conferencing, switching hardware, AV‑over‑IP and -DSP setup/calibration
• Strong understanding of audio DSP setup, tuning, and calibration
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex AV, control, and network issues

Required Certifications

• Harman Certified Control Professional (CP)
• Extron GC-Pro
• Crestron and/or AMX programming certifications

Preferred Certifications

• CTS or CTS‑D
• Advanced Crestron, Extron, or AMX certifications
• Networking certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+)
