Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation seeks a Lead Designer to translate engineering requirements and Design Lead direction into manufacturable product designs in Charlotte, NC. The role supports both New Product Development and Sustaining Engineering with advanced CAD modeling, layout development, and design validation.

This onsite, full-time position emphasizes leadership, technical mentorship, and collaboration across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to deliver robust design

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 5+ years in product design in an engineering environment, or Associate’s Degree with 3+ years in design.
• 2+ years of Creo Parametric experience in complex modeling, assemblies and drawing development.
• 2+ years creating and maintaining large assembly structures and documentation using Creo.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine CAD models, layouts, assemblies and detailed design implementations.
• Translate requirements and Design Lead direction into practical design solutions.
• Lead packaging, integration, fit-up and manufacturability evaluations.
• Perform detailed technical reviews of models, drawings, BOMs and documentation.
• Validate design work and ensure alignment with design intent.
• Support development and maintenance of top-down assembly structures and product architectures.
• Drive resolution of complex design issues with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain.
