Job summary

GeoLogics is seeking a Design Specialist to create innovative mechanical and electromechanical concepts for components, assemblies, tools, and products of varying complexity. This on-site role is based in Phoenix, AZ.

Applicants must be a US citizen with an associate degree or higher and have current Creo experience; the position is a W2 hourly contract with a flexible 9/80 schedule and a rate of $40.00–$46.80 per hour.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship required.
Associate degree or certification in engineering drafting/design plus 6 years drafting/design experience.
MUST have CURRENT Creo experience with strong modeling and fully associative drawing creation.
Skilled in creating model-centric models and drawings using Creo.
Experience defining design standards and configurations.
Applying CAD methodologies and engineering standards; ensure accuracy of calculations and dimensions.
Provide expert technical consultation to division and customers.

Responsibilities

Develop innovative concepts satisfying functional and operational requirements for existing products and new programs.
Prepare moderately complex design layouts, schematics or sketches including test plans and specifications.
Prepare drawing packages to ASME standards.
Check layouts, drawings, test plans and change history for clarity and conformance.
Evaluate producibility and tolerances; validate integration of equipment.
Perform technical calculations (tolerance studies, mass and section properties).
Identify design issues and propose revisions or improvements.
Interface with internal/external customers to solve technical problems.
