Job summary

GeoLogics is seeking a Design Engineer with an ACTIVE Secret Security Clearance. The role requires hands-on design of major components and participation in concept development and design reviews.

Onsite in Grand Prairie, TX, 12+ month contract, with strict security requirements. The candidate will create and validate 3D models using Creo, manage data in Windchill, and ensure manufacturability and cost considerations are integrated into the design.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years experience with Creo design.
• At least 2 years experience with Windchill PLM/PDM.
• Mechanical primary and secondary structures experience.
• 1 year of concept development experience.
• 1 year of design review content preparation experience.
• At least 4 years experience creating finished 3D models.
• At least 2 years experience with GD&T and complex mechanical/electrical concepts.

Position Details

TITLE: Design Engineer with ACTIVE Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship REQUIRED)

RATE RANGE: $60.00 - $71.00 W2 (no health benefits/no paid PTO while on contract)

LOCATION: Onsite in Grand Prairie, TX (no relocation package)

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Active Secret Security Clearance issued by the Department of Defense

DURATION: 12+ month contract or contract to Hire

No C2C, we can NOT work with outside agencies/vendors, and we can NOT do 1099-US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED

Position Description

Designs major components, or major portions of a functional system, or technically advanced prototype, promotional or specific products.

Develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations.

Develops basic data and makes preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to present design proposal. Investigates pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replace ability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements and cost.

Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development.

Makes layouts of assemblies and details parts of devices, mechanisms, structures, and products.

Checks completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning.

Identifies design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommends revisions and/or improvements in design layout to responsible engineers or designers.

Required Experience

• Candidate must have at least 3 years experience with Creo design.
• Candidate must have at least 2 years experience with Windchill PLM/PDM
• Mechanical primary and secondary structures
• At least 1 year of experience with Concept development
• At least 1 year of experience with Design review content preparation
• Candidate must have at least 4 years experience with Create Finished 3D Models
• Candidate must have at least 2 years experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Candidate must have at least 2 years experience with Complex Mechanical/Electrical Concepts
• 3D Models 4 - 6 Years

Desired Experience

• Model-Based Definition (MBD)

Education/Experience Required

BS+6-8 YRS or MS+4-6 YRS
