Job summary

LendingClub seeks a data-driven risk expert to craft credit risk strategies, with emphasis on underwriting, pricing, and KPI tracking. You will design experiments, build automated dashboards, and translate data into actions that optimize risk-adjusted revenue. Hybrid work in San Francisco is supported.

You will leverage SQL, SAS, R, and Python to mine data, develop AI-enabled tools, and collaborate with tech teams to implement scalable solutions. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in credit, analytics, risk management, and data science.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field; or equivalent work experience.
• Technical skills include SQL, SAS, R and Python; experience with BI/data visualization is a plus.
• Proficient in creating dashboards; strong communication skills and AI tool usage.
• Experience with AI tools to improve work and ensure data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement credit risk strategies including underwriting and pricing.
• Design A/B tests to evaluate risk-return tradeoffs and drive optimization.
• Create automated dashboards to track KPIs and present to senior management.
• Mine loan data and translate findings into risk mitigation and pricing actions.
• Collaborate with tech teams to implement new strategies accurately.
