Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing Services is engaged in locating a Credit Manager for a Northern VA real estate client. The role blends accounting foundations with commercial credit experience, supporting initial and ongoing credit underwriting, training, and best practices in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Hybrid role with four days in the Northern VA office, responsible for evaluating and mitigating credit risk, maintaining standards for CC/IC memos, and overseeing QCR/ECR

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating and mitigating credit risk across portfolios.
• Strong background in credit underwriting procedures and memos for CC/IC.
• Experience with quarterly credit reviews (QCR) and enhanced reviews (ECR).
• Ability to track lease covenants and monitor credit compliance.
• Familiarity with AI tools for credit processes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, manage, and communicate the credit risk of the portfolio
• Contribute to and maintain credit analysis standards for CC & IC memos
• Ensure effective and consistent management and execution of QCRs and ECRs
• Manage ongoing credit risk assessment including monitoring portfolio for lease covenants
• Serve as Credit Subject Matter Expert
• Facilitate communication and collaboration on credit matters between portfolio management, CC, IC, and other departments
• Support underwriting process on a transactional basis including deal structuring and development/execution of credit underwriting strategy and legal documentation
• Ensure consistency and accuracy of credit underwriting analysis
• Ad hoc support of pre-LOI credit underwriting
• Administer CC, communicate info to Portfolio Management Leadership, prepare analyses for lenders/investors, enhance credit related processes, admin and maximize Crowe Portfolio Analyzer for Lenders and Salesforce for portfolio credit reporting and risk management
• Training/Recruiting support as directed by PM team
