Job summary
Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing Services is seeking a Credit Manager for a private equity‑backed investment firm in McLean, VA. This hybrid role (4 days onsite, Fridays remote) focuses on transaction underwriting, portfolio risk management, and investment decision support.
You will analyze credit, prepare memorandums, monitor portfolio performance, and partner with deal teams and senior leadership to evaluate credit risk and influence strategic decisions.
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in commercial credit, underwriting, audit, transaction advisory, or public accounting.
- Strong financial statement analysis and analytical skills.
- Experience evaluating business performance, leverage, cash flow, and creditworthiness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex financial information into actionable recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Perform credit analysis and underwriting for new and existing transactions.
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow, liquidity, leverage, and credit trends.
- Prepare detailed credit memorandums and committee-level presentations.
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging credit risks.
- Support covenant compliance reviews and ongoing portfolio surveillance.
- Partner with investment, acquisitions, and portfolio management teams.
