The Credit Risk Analyst is a proactive, results-oriented individual responsible for analyzing, developing and implementing credit risk models and strategies. The analyst will make recommendations to minimize risk while also being able to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, ranging from customers to executive management.

If you are located in Lincoln, NE, you will have the flexibility to work from home and in the office in this hybrid role* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development, enhancement and monitoring of credit and fraud risk management strategies
  • Responsible for the ongoing performance monitoring of the loan portfolio and making subsequent recommendations in order to improve performance
  • Conduct analysis - including retrieval, manipulation and analysis of complex datasets for standard reports and ad hoc projects that impact the credit and lending processes
  • Ability to work with and influence leadership regarding credit and risk decisions
  • Partner with various teams (Engineering, Compliance, Operations, etc.) to ensure solutions meet business needs and objectives
  • Effectively communicate with various levels of stakeholders internally and externally (executives, partners, customers, etc.)
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in data or credit risk analyst roles
  • 2+ years of experience with various analytical tools (SQL, PowerBI, R, SAS, etc.)
  • 2+ years of experience in Microsoft, specifically Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Experience working with credit/risk scoring concepts
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry
  • Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven persistent and results focused – must be able to deliver results

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
