Data Protection and Privacy – Assistant Director (Data Risk and Incident Manager)

Risk Management supports our organization by identifying, managing, and monitoring risks related to compliance, security, ethics, and more. We work closely across departments to provide coordinated advice and support.

The Opportunity

In a rapidly evolving connected world, managing data risk is critical. As a Data Risk Manager, you will make strategic decisions to mitigate risks, supporting our long-term goal of building a better working world and offering opportunities for career development.

Your Key Responsibilities

Within EY’s Data Protection team, you will develop, implement, and monitor data protection activities. This includes managing the firm’s data inventory, responding to data incidents, coordinating with legal and IT teams, and ensuring compliance with data laws and policies. You will also report activities to stakeholders and collaborate with executive teams.

• Leading data risk management initiatives and investigations
• Maintaining data inventories and ensuring regulatory compliance
• Responding to data subject requests and implementing security controls
• Developing strategies to enhance data risk management
• Staying updated on data protection laws and standards

• Possessing strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Experience with data protection technologies and a relevant degree (Bachelor’s or higher)

Preferred Qualifications
