Job summary

Solventum is seeking a Credit Professional to manage collections for up to 300 accounts, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate with billing to ensure accurate customer data.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years in customer service (or 6+ years with a HS diploma), plus strong Excel skills and cross-functional collaboration abilities. Remote US work with travel up to 5% may apply.

Qualifications

  • OR
  • High School Diploma/GED AND six years in customer service in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Experience in B2B collections and account reconciliations is a plus
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills are essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work across multiple systems is expected

Responsibilities

  • Managing collections for up to 300 customer accounts monthly, including outbound calls and documenting interactions.
  • Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies, short payments, and tax issues for accurate reconciliation.
  • Reviewing customer contracts and coordinating with billing to maintain up-to-date information.
  • Evaluating creditworthiness and recommending credit limits and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Participating in internal meetings and customer calls to resolve issues and strengthen relationships

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND (2) two years experience in customer service in a private, public, government or military environment

OR

High School Diploma/GED AND (6) six years experience in customer service in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience in B2B collections.
  • Knowledge of account reconciliations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with finance, sales, and customer service teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Ability to conduct difficult conversations and negotiations while balancing customer relationships with company credit policies.
  • Strong analytical, research, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word , including pivot tables, reporting, templates and data merging
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented , and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in multiple computer systems simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals and process improvements.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $64,800 - $89,100, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits.
