Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing Services in Northern VA is seeking a Credit Manager to oversee credit underwriting and risk for a growing real estate client. The role blends accounting fundamentals with commercial credit expertise in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

The position is hybrid, with four days in the Northern VA office. You will lead credit processes, support quarterly reviews, monitor lease covenants, and collaborate with Portfolio Management, Credit Committees, and other

Qualifications

• Accounting foundation and commercial credit experience.
• Experience with credit committees (CC) and Investment Committee (IC).
• Hybrid work experience and ability to liaison across departments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage portfolio credit risk and communicate findings.
• Maintain credit analysis standards for CC & IC memos.
• Oversee quarterly credit reviews (QCR) and enhanced reviews (ECR).
• Monitor ongoing credit risk, including lease covenants compliance.
• Serve as Credit Subject Matter Expert and mentor team.
• Coordinate credit matters with Portfolio Management, CC, IC, and others.
• Support underwriting in deals; develop and apply underwriting strategy.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy of credit analyses.
• Assist with pre-LOI credit underwriting as needed.
• Act as CC administrator; proactively share info with leadership.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses for lenders/investors; optimize credit processes.
• Utilize Crowe Portfolio Analyzer and Salesforce for reporting.
• Support training and recruiting as directed by PM team.
