Job summary

Equifax in Urbandale, IA is seeking a Junior Credit Investigator to resolve customer requests and serve as the primary liaison between clients and consumers. You will conduct investigations using phone, email, web research, and data repositories to update reports for clients.

In-office role, Monday–Friday, 10:30a–7p, with an hourly rate of $20.00. High school diploma required; call center and credit knowledge are a plus.

Job description

As a Junior Credit Investigator at Equifax, you will be responsible for resolving customer requests and being the key point of contact between the client and consumer. The Credit Investigator position is responsible for acting as a liaison between the client, consumer, and Equifax by resolving customers’ requests. Individual contributors with complete investigations and issue updated or corrected reports to clients. To do this, you will use various methods of investigation including telephone interviews, email contacts, web-based research, faxing contacts, and researching data repositories such as FACT and eOSCAR.

What you’ll do

You will Perform credit-based research tasks ranging from the navigation of automated systems, conducting online research, and performing conference calls between consumers and creditors

• You will utilize experience and expertise to provide insights to operations leadership
• Operate a diverse range of tasks, moving between processes with the mentorship of management
• You will perform clerical, phone, operational or manual work
• You will validate/complete and document requested data through phone, fax or email contact
• Perform document review and audit
• Identify and troubleshoot issues within own scope of work
• Accept stretch assignments provided by management
• In office Monday - Friday 10:30a - 7p
• The hourly rate is $20.00
