Job summary

Hillyard, Inc. in Saint Joseph, MO is seeking a Credit & Collections Specialist to join our Finance team. You will manage accounts, resolve past-due balances, and build strong relationships with customers to support healthy cash flow.

This role requires clear communication, attention to detail, and the ability to negotiate payment solutions. You will collaborate with Sales and Customer Service to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate billing while upholding our commitment to superb customer

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in Credit & Collections, Accounts Receivable, Customer Service, or related field.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and oversee collection activities for outstanding invoices.

• Contact customers regarding past-due balances and negotiate payment solutions when appropriate.
• Review and monitor aging reports to prioritize collection efforts.

• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and other internal departments to resolve account discrepancies and improve customer satisfaction.
• Research and resolve billing questions, payment discrepancies, and customer concerns.
• Support continuous improvement efforts within the Credit & Collections department.

Credit & Collections Specialist Hillyard, Inc. is currently seeking a Credit & Collections Specialist to join our Finance team in St. Joseph, MO. Are you someone who enjoys building customer relationships, solving payment issues, and helping maintain healthy customer accounts? As a Credit & Collections Specialist, you'll work directly with customers and internal teams to manage accounts, resolve outstanding balances, and deliver an outstanding customer experience.
