PlainsCapital Bank seeks motivated individuals to join our Commercial Banking team as a Credit Analyst through the Commercial Banking Development Program, a full-time, post-graduate program beginning in Summer 2027.

This entry-level program provides hands-on experience and structured training across key banking areas, preparing you for future roles as a relationship manager or credit analyst within two to three years. Travel and Dallas-based training may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.
• Strong communication, analytical and time-management skills.
• Interest in financial, credit or statistical analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes borrower financial statements to assess risk and identify strengths and vulnerabilities.
• Prepares credit analyses, including collateral, covenant, and cash flow review.
• Gathers market data and trends to support credit decisions.
• Attends loan committee meetings and supports cross-functional credit discussions.
• Coordinates appraisals and performs collateral analysis for credit decisions.
• Monitors covenant compliance and flags breaches for escalation.
• Performs annual risk grading of credit relationships and supports portfolio management.
• Travels for training and client meetings as needed.
