Job summary

ServisFirst in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Credit Analyst Intern to help assess borrower creditworthiness using financial statements, tax returns and market data. You will support underwriting, prepare appraisals and assist in setting loan terms under supervision.

Ideal candidates are undergrad finance/ Accounting majors with strong communication, detail orientation and proficiency in Excel and Outlook. This internship offers hands-on experience in credit analytics within a regulated banking

Qualifications

• Undergrad student in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience with Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Detail-oriented with data-analysis skills.
• Organized, able to multi-task and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Update electronic credit files by imaging loan documents.
• Conduct financial analysis and underwriting for new loans.
• Request financial information from Loan Officers.
• Assess strength/weakness of client credit for loan terms.
• Run reports on maturities and loan activity.
• Compile monthly reports on past due and maturing loans.
• Follow applicable compliance regulations.
