Job summary

First Independent Bank is seeking a Credit Analyst I in Minnesota to support sound lending decisions and customer relationships. You’ll analyze financial information, prepare presentations with loan officers, and contribute to annual reviews of designated loans in agricultural and commercial portfolios.

You’ll collaborate with lenders, research macroeconomic trends, and help ensure compliance with bank policies, delivering prompt, accurate service to internal teammates and customers alike.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a credit analyst, portfolio management, or similar banking position.
• AA or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Basic understanding of tax returns; strong knowledge and interpretation of tax returns preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Enter financial statements into analysis software and maintain knowledge of FINPACK, Suntell, and Excel.
• Analyze financial information related to new and renewal Agricultural and Commercial loan requests.
• Assist with risk assessment for Agricultural and Commercial loan requests by conducting thorough credit analysis.
• Regularly research and analyze macroeconomic and sector-specific trends in the Agricultural and Commercial industries to evaluate borrower repayment capacity.
• Prepare credit approval analyses and internal evaluations for various loan types.
• Provide ongoing credit management support through quarterly and annual reviews and present findings.
• Work with lenders on larger and more complex lending relationships and meet customers to gather financial information.
