Job summary

Farmers and Merchants Bank in Dayton, OH is seeking a Credit Analyst to support the lending function with a strong focus on commercial lending. You will analyze financial data, assess risk, and help ensure sound credit decisions while keeping lending operations compliant and efficient.

You will underwrite and analyze loan requests, prepare credit memos, review financial statements, and assist with annual reviews.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial credit or loan administration experience.
• Ability to interpret financial statements and assess risk.
• Strong financial analysis and credit risk assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and analyze commercial loan requests, including financial spreading and risk grading.
• Prepare and review credit memos and loan presentations for accuracy and completeness.
• Evaluate financial statements, cash flow, and tax returns to assess borrower risk and trends.
• Assist with annual reviews of commercial clients and monitor changes in credit risk.
• Support centralized lending processes, including underwriting, documentation, and due diligence.
• Review loan documentation to ensure compliance with bank policies and regulations.
• Track and collect financial information from commercial clients.
• Assist with lien filings/releases, flood determinations, and insurance tracking.
• Support loan administration tasks, including escrow accounts and loan system maintenance.
• Balance general ledger accounts and process loan-related transactions.
• Prepare reports and support board-level loan presentations.
• Provide overall administrative and analytical support to the lending team.
