Starion Bank seeks a Credit Analyst to perform rigorous credit analysis for loan requests, prepare presentations, and support lenders with risk assessment.

The role includes annual credit reviews, policy updates, and system improvements, requiring strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and clear written reports. Location is flexible to North Dakota or Wisconsin branches with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of credit analysis or related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or related field.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in Word and Excel; database/financial software experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to present findings.

Responsibilities

• Perform credit analysis for new and existing loan requests including credit presentations and financial statement spreads.
• Conduct annual credit reviews and provide written recommendations on loan structure and risk.
• Support lenders with complex credit transactions, risk assessments, and servicing needs.
• Assist with credit training, appraisal reviews, and ongoing process improvements.
• Participate in policy updates, regulatory changes, and system enhancement projects.

Credit Analyst

Location:

This position is available at any of our branches in North Dakota and Wisconsin.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform credit analysis for new and existing loan requests, including preparation of credit approval presentations and financial statement spreads.
• Conduct annual credit reviews and provide written credit recommendations to management regarding loan structure and creditworthiness.
• Support lenders with complex credit transactions, risk assessments, and servicing needs.
• Assist with credit-related training, appraisal reviews, and ongoing process improvements within credit administration.
• Participate in projects related to policy updates, regulatory changes, system enhancements, and efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications:

• One to three years of similar or related experience in credit analysis, lending support or financial analysis
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; database or financial software experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare reports and present findings.
