Job summary

BMO is seeking a Commercial Banking internship in Madison, WI. The program runs June 7, 2027 to August 13, 2027, requiring full participation in onboarding and the cohort experience.

The role supports credit analysis, loan structuring, and client relationship activities for a portfolio of Commercial Banking clients. interns will work with Relationship Managers and business partners, applying financial analysis, risk assessment, and data tools to inform decisions while upholding regulatory

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in credit or lending instruments or financial operations in a corporate or banking environment is preferred.
• If a Credit Qualifiable job, Credit Qualifications and associated credit knowledge and skills according to the credit portfolio requirements and qualification standards.
• Specialized knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes credit information to support lending decisions and processes for commercial loans.
• Makes credit decisions and recommendations in line with bank policies.
• Prepares detailed credit summaries to assess creditworthiness.
• Builds and maintains client relationships to expand partnerships.
• Structures and supports loans aligned with client needs and risk policies.
• Monitors portfolio performance and analyzes trends to spot risks and opportunities.
• Identifies revenue and cross-selling opportunities within clients.
