Job summary

What We Are Looking For:Ateam leader with customer service experience who thrives in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment to join the Division of Professional Credential Processing (DPCP) to supervise staff, coordinate workflows, maintain efficiency of processes, and assist with complex licensing and credentialing cases!


Where We Are Located:After an initial training period, this position offers a hybridized work schedule. The position will be headquartered at and required to work from the Hill Farms State Office Building in Madison, WI at least 2 days per week. All employees working a hybrid work schedule are still expected to telework from within the State of Wisconsin. This topic will be discussed more at the time of the interview.

Position Summary

This position manages and supervises credentialing teams which processes applications and issues licenses for specified professions regulated by various statewide boards. This position provides guidance to division staff and management of licensing processes and procedures. This position also acts as a member of the Division Management Team and as a liaison to specified boards and other Department work units to ensure processes reflect current regulations and policies of the regulatory boards and the Department. Specific responsibilities include:



  • Manage and supervise the DPCP credentialing staff which process applications and issue licenses for professionals.

  • Lead or represent the division managing special projects, technology enhancement projects or continuous improvement projects.

  • Act as a member of the Division Management Team and as a liaison to executive directors, boards and other Department work units to ensure processes reflect current regulations and policies of the regulatory boards and the Department.


Salary Information

This position(Records Management Program Supervisors) is in schedule-range (81-03) with an annual salary of $72,800-$83,200, plus excellent benefits. A twelve month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants will have experience with all the following:


Experience leading or supervising employees. (Activities include assigning or prioritizing work, providing coaching and feedback, supporting employee development, addressing performance concerns, and/or evaluating employee performance.)


Experience leading or managing projects or process improvements with competing priorities in a high-volume or deadline-driven environment. (Activities include establishing/changing priorities, communicating changes, monitoring work processes, and/or meeting deadlines).


Experience interpreting and applying statutes, administrative rules, regulations, or policies.


In addition to having all the above, well qualified applicants will have experience with one or more of the following:



  • Experience leading operational or organizational changes, such as implementing a new process, technology, policy, program, or significant change in work responsibilities.


Experience analyzing operational data to identify trends, establish priorities, measure performance, and/or allocate resources.


Experience developing, implementing, or improving policies or procedures.
